Direct to Film (DTF) Printing

Full color transfers, no color limits.
Done on a digital printer with CMYK water based inks.
Comes in two styles: solid white underbase & gradient underbase.
- Solid white underbase: medium hand feel, for dark colored garments.
- Gradient underbase: soft hand feel, for light colored garments.
Printed on a 12.9″ x 19” gang sheets with as many designs as you want on one sheet.
No guarantees for exact color match. Colors are printed with CMYK color mode. Pantone colors cannot be reproduced exactly.

Design Services:

Temperature & Time: 315 – 325F for 12-15 seconds. Light/medium pressure.
Pressure: Light – medium pressure. Lift carefully without lifting the transfer from the garment.
Peel: Peel cold. Peel the transfer paper in an even direction. Wait for the transfer to cool before peeling.
Washing: Warm – Cold water. Low Tumble. Inside out wash. Do not put in dryer.
Tips: Prepress garment to remove moisture before applying transfer. Don’t use parchment or teflon paper.
Wait 12 hours before stretching or washing garment.
Do your own tests prior to production.
Heat presses vary. Use our instructions as starting point.

Online orders: Upload prepared sheet (12.9″ x 19) to our customer page. 300dpi Resolution. Transparent background. PNG files. All artwork must be true to size.
Email orders: Vector file recommended or same specifications as online orders. Artwork must be embedded. Sheet prepared must be 12.9″ x 19”. Transparent background. Email at info@festivalprinting.ca.
Use CMYK colors when designing artwork. Only use white if it represents white ink in the design. Design must be on a transparent background.
Lines need to be 2pts minimum. Negative spaces need to have minimum thickness equivalent to 2pts.
All colors converted to CMYK. #hex colors might not have a close CMYK reference.
Orders that do not have the specifications listed will be printed as is. If artwork is low res, fuzzy edges, low quality, it is susceptible to a modification fee. We will be in contact prior to printing.
